Steele Billings
Camp Experience: Guppies Counselor ‘24
Steele is ready to dive back into another unforgettable Sierra Camp summer complete with magic, laughter, and hard work! He worked his first summer at Sierra Camp in 2024 as a Guppies (3-4 year olds) counselor and can’t wait to return this summer as KGC! Steele is a senior from Boulder, Colorado. At Stanford, he studies Economics with minors in Education and History. He also plays for the Club Men’s Lacrosse Team (and served as team president last year) and is a proud member of Flying Treehouse and Kids With Dreams. He’s also a major aviation enthusiast and works for an airline, so please ask him all of your deepest, darkest airplane questions.
Growing up with three younger siblings and two teacher parents, Steele’s love for education and working with kids began early. The opportunity to combine that passion with a fun, outdoor environment originally brought him to Sierra Camp, but Camp gave him so much more: an incredible community, endless laughter, the chance to teach a dance class, and meaningful connections with kids and adult guests alike. He’s beyond excited to welcome new people into a place that’s been truly magical in his life, and for another summer full of playground chaos, musical performance dinners, scrubbing toilets, midnight hikes, and all-around shenanigans.
